ResoNet Sinan Mansions

ResoNet Pavilion is commissioned by Sinan Mansions in Shanghai for the celebration of Chinese New Year 2017. It consists of a temporary pavilion plus an interactive LED light 'resonet' attached in the inner surface. It employs Low-Fi techniques to visualise the resonance frequencies inherent in the natural environment, via the interaction of the public and surrounding elements detected by a LED net. The Pavilion illuminates the public realm in response to vibration stimuli. Apart from visitors can come to make Spring Festival wishes, it can be also used as a performance stage.

Amoeba Wall

Inspired by the shape-shifting abilities of amoeba, Amoeba Wall is a flexible and illuminated robotic wall system that moves and changes shape on command. The wall's backlit panels autonomously twist and move in response to changing user needs and commands, transforming an open area into different enclosed and luminous spaces. One space can be anything from small individual offices, to open co-working spaces, to a private meeting room. With this system, users have a reconfigurable space that is both efficient and elegant.

IO Pod

IO Pod is an all in one space for children to sleep store and study. Featuring simple and uncluttered lines it combines playful aesthetic with complete functionality. The pod is multi functional and can be configured into a bunk bed, two separate beds, a top bed and desk area beneath as well as a bed and desk separately in order to suit a family’s evolving needs. IO Pod was conceived with sustainable thinking applied to its design. Children can use it from an early toddler age through to their teen years and beyond giving the pod the ability to grow with the child.

Leisure Attaching is a changeable chair set that included one chair and some small wooden boxes. Attach these wooden boxes to the different sides of the chair to have your own ways to use them. Users can put maybe handbook, pens, remote control, mug and even small potted plant in the boxes to bring your chair alive.

Colour Injector

Colour injector is an interactive multicoloured lamp designed as a physical expression of the way red, green and blue light are used in digital interfaces to create a full spectrum of different hues. The lamp represents an idea of 'in-n-out' system where an unusual analogue input is connected to a digital output in order to make some fun and provoke people into the emotional response. Syringes suspended below the lamp are connected to another set inside the body. The handles of the syringes are attached to sliding switches connected to Arduino that controls the colour output of light diodes.

inMOOV

inMOOV is a ceiling lightening device. The unique feature of this lamp is its ability to folds itself inside out. This movement is based on the invention of the Invertible Disc of Studio Lieven and inspired by the movement of a flower when it opens. Through the movement of the lampshade it is possible to regulate the intensity and the direction of the light. The fully opened lamp creates a soft light directed to the ceiling. The folded lamp creates more focused and warm light that illuminates the space underneath it. The movement can be done by hand.
