La Table is a table is a stool is a bench and a chair. Colorful range of furniture can also be used outdoors, pieces remain firm and steady on an uneven surface. A splash of color in the garden or on the terrace of a Mokki - the finnish summerhouse, is the new table and stool collection of Vivero; and stacked they hibernate until spring calls again. Designed and made in Finland.
Continue reading'Portal' is a led hallway designed by artist Akiko Yamashita in the weller court plaza in Little Tokyo Los Angeles in 2015. Inspired by neon light and prism, the spiral made with 7000 pixels of light welcomes visitors to the building's plaza. Color animation is changing throughout the day and night. It has become a destination portal - formally a dark tunnel - has been transformed by the designer.

Tubes of different metals are cut in angles and fit with accuracy in the furniture providing the much-needed support. The theme is repeated in a delicate design on the top surface of the object, combining different types of wood and metals. This furniture line consists of a dining table, a display case, a grand table, a side table and a nightstand. Although it is a residential line of furniture, it has also been thought to be used in commercial facilities, mainly the display case and the grand table objects.
Continue readingThis piece stands out due to its aerodynamic shapes and the lightness of its structure, as its main inspiration are the silhouettes of the first airplanes from the early 20th century. The glass at the top has a shape inspired on an airplane wing and projects a ray of color that can be seen on the floor or the walls of the space. The purpose of the designer is to go beyond a simple storage unit, it intends to generate a bold and pleasant sensation for the user.
