The Birth

'At the moment of fertilization, eggs emit light'. What is really visible is not light but something grotesque and at the same time beautiful, and which indeed appears to be shining. At the moment of fertilization, the wavelength inside the egg changes. If light is a wavelength, those changes can be interpreted as 'light'. The great wonder of life is encapsulated right there. 'The Birth' is a chandelier inspired by this faint light and by creating a sense of intimacy with the mystery of life observers will be encouraged to re-think the significance of life itself.

Duna

Designed after the organic profile of dunes surrounding Natal, the armchair is made of certified wood, finished with freijó, a typically Brazilian wood which also casts colour variances of regional sands. Aside from being light, this sculptural piece allies technology and art.

Flux

Mehran Gharleghi and Amin Sadeghy from Studio INTEGRATE have created “Flux Table” within their exploration of fusing historically rooted geometries with contemporary modes of computation. Its intricate form and pattern is derived from a basic "Toranj", a mathematical pattern used in Iranian architecture; from which a smooth transition between two layers of a strict geometric pattern is constructed. The geometrical pattern at the top surface fuses to the bottom layer through a series of multi-directional arches. The generated form is manufactured using digital fabrication.

Anti-Loneliness

Anti-loneliness Ramen bowl addresses the social phenomena of addiction to the use of high-tech handheld devices such as smart phone. The uniquely sculptured form is the result of double layered ceramic for creating the concaved cavity for holding phone device. As the current society relying on the digital media, people try to connect online even during their mealtime for looking through the social medium with their smart phones. Anti-loneliness Ramen bowl is the hybrid-design of phone dock with noodle bowl for solving those issues.
