Design inspiration is from the significant philosophy of East Asian culture which is called Zen. Zen has a saying that empty is there, not empty is not there. the concept was melted into this series of design, the overall shape of the idea of round, simple, smooth, empty, using ofrosted plexiglass to create a fine water feel, increasing the appreciation and safety of furniture. This furniture suits for a variety of using environments.
Continue readingReminiscent of Vitruvian Man by Da Vinci, which is a building block for modern and ancient civilization, and a standard of beauty across all disciplines to this day. The bookshelf functions as a keeper of knowledge. The shelving is a silhouette of Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man carrying out a rhythm orchestrated by the copper rods. Ring is a statement piece that interacts with both the space and the user. It can be placed against a wall or beautifully separate two spaces in a subtle way.
Continue readingPlastic Recurrence is a series of benches designed for a district town hall in Hong Kong, by using recycled household plastic waste from the same district. HIR studio recycled the plastic bottles in the riverside town, processed, and remolded them into new public benches, before bringing them back into the local town hall for everyone to enjoy. The series were made of only two typical modules assembled in varied lengths and rotations. Tactile textures and imperfect color of recycled plastic render each bench unique. What is taken from the community is used back in the community.
Continue readingThe table Diagonal is a piece of furniture embodied with diversify possibility in its sleek form. The clean inter-cross stand structure is positioned in diagonal guideline. With the intended twisted angle, the Void/Solid dialogue would be initiated when people move around the table. The Diagonal tension could also be seen from above with tabletop veneer pattern, which also follow table’s invisible diagonal guideline beneath.

Powered by the temperature difference in the metal, supplied by the candle heat which creates diffusion and aroma volatilization. (Patented invention.) Its minimalist design made from recyclable materials, cordless mobility, and low maintenance usability. Every aspect of design is crucial such as the glass cylindrical dome which efficiently raises the heat of the flame, the optimal gap above the aroma tray and the single blade fan to introduce oxygen, and the oval shape for heat dissipation.
Continue readingCrypto is a modular lighting collection since it can expand vertically as well as horizontally, depending on how the single glass elements that compose each structure are distributed. The idea that inspired the design originates from nature, recalling ice stalactites in particular. The peculiarity of Crypto items stands in their vibrant blown glass that enables light to spread in many directions in a very soft way. Production occurs by means of a completely handcrafted process and it is the end user who decides how the final installation will be composed, each time in a different way.
