The tie chair 2020 is carved with the concept a chair that helps couples get along. The curve of the backrest is designed in such a way that when two people sit side by side, their bodies naturally snuggle together. As a seating for dining or to kick up your feet to enjoy your favorite book, it should suite any desired situation comfortably. Facing each other or side-by-side, the idea is to provide a format-less space allowing for people to be comfortable as they please.
Continue reading"Memoria" is a furniture project created by Sergio Sesmero for his Final Project of the Official University Degree in Product Design of ESNE. A proposal based on sustainability, functionality and the creation of new sensorial experiences, by the usage of concrete fabric as the main material, which is generally used in civil constructions that is characterized by its high durability, resistance and sustainability. The project arises from a deep study of the changes that are taking place in society, and how these are are affecting the forms of consumption.
Continue readingCling is a floor lamp by Robert Dabi. Emerging from the floor plate, the pole seamlessly wraps around a spotless LED ring made of a slim aluminium profile in a diameter of 55 cm. Within the area between pole and the frame holding the light ring, a flexible section is incorporated. This makes it possible to freely move or tilt the ring and thereby adapt the appearance of the lamp to its' surrounding. Robert constructed the lamp with stability in mind – heavy lower steel parts and top aluminium parts sum up to only 2,5 kg of weight.
Continue readingCage lighting is produced with hot glass blowing and metal forming techniques. The amorphous and blown shaped units provide light refraction at different rates. Lighting units create an illusionic and crystalline effect on the glasses. Emphasizing the communication between light and freedom and the organic bond with a transparent, warm material like glass is the main idea in the design. Metal baskets resembling a cage are used in this series. One of them is the pinter, which is actually a tool used for fishing. This object is used as a lighting element in the design.

Providing a platform to liberate Astro's creative process and reinforce the design led approach, Capsule Collection honours the design DNA of core Astro product, but is visually unique with delicacy that quietly compliments any design scheme.
Continue readingThe Spa at the Euphoria Retreat, is located in Mystra. It is a four-story building, of 3.000 m2, that is carved into the base of a mountain. The lighting for each space was considered as a unique piece, contributing to the crescendo of the ultimate relaxation experience. As daylight would vary substantially from one space to another, custom luminaires were designed to imitate daylight conditions, thus harmonizing the transitions through spaces and enhancing the immersive architecture.
