The Cut

Why should a Kitchen be fixed, un-moveable, permanent? Today’s kitchen is more often than not the ‘hub’ of the home, right at its heart. Its importance has been elevated beyond just food preparation. Treasure Hill in Taipei is an old settlement with a vision of an artist compound. The contrast between the new and the old, villagers and the artists, creates an interesting dialogue, which can be experience by the visitors. Vana forms an iso-surface around a venation network, a cortex around an anastomosis system.
