Trifold

The Trifold's shape is informed by a combination of triangular surfaces and a unique folding sequence. It has a minimalist yet complex and sculptural design, from every view angle it reveals a unique composition. The design can be scaled to suit various purposes without compromising its structural integrity. The Trifold is a showcase of digital fabrication methods and the use of new manufacturing technologies such as robotics. The production process has been developed in collaboration with a robotic fabrication company specialising in folding metals with 6-axis robots.

Tensegrity Space Frame

The Tensegrity space frame light utilizes R.B.Fuller's principle of 'Less for more' to produce a light fixture using only its light source and electrical wire. Tensegrity becomes the structural means by which both work mutually in compression and tension to produce a seemingly discontinuous field of light defined only by its structural logic. Its scalability, and economy of production speak to a commodity of endless configuration whose luminous form gracefully resists the pull of gravity with a simplicity that affirms the paradigm of our epoch: To achieve more whilst using less.

Folded Tones

Rugs are inherently flat, the goal was to challenge this simple fact. The illusion of three-dimensionality was achieved with just three colours. The variety of tones and depth of the rug is dependent on the width and density of the stripes, rather than a large palette of colours that may jar with a particular space, thus allowing for flexible use. From above or far away, the rug resembles a folded sheet. However, while sitting or lying on it, the illusion of the folds may not be perceptible. This lead to the use of simple repetitive lines that can be enjoyed as an abstract pattern up close.

Pebble

Pebble is designed as a healthy heating system for both indoor and outdoor places. The system is based on the heating of naturally formed and tumbled pebbles of various natural colors via an electrical resistance. The product is healthy by humudifying the air, also economical and space-saving with the wide surface area in a small volume. The product, as a natural heating system is both functional with its mobility and visually appealing with a sculpture like look.

Fluens

Fluens is a modern and sofisticated loveseat that breaks with our conventions and redefines the concept of design. The assimetric aesthetics (New shape in every side that we look), allows a much more pleasant, dynamic and exclusive utilization. The parametric model, suported by a mathematic model developed inside a tridimensional graphic design software, allowing us to generate unusual curves and superficies easily and with efficiency. This way the production starts with the premise - be optimized and use less material than a tradicional model, stablishing the relation with sustainable theme.
