Aggregate Lamp

Aggregate

Aggregate is a collection of three floor lamps made from recycled and discarded materials. Each lamp is built on a welded skeleton formed from discarded steel scraps. The body is sculpted by hand from a mixture of concrete, silica sand and shredded plastic bottles, applied over a thin alkali-resistant fiber base. The concrete mixture is worked like clay rather than cast in a mould, so each lamp has its own texture and silhouette. LED tube bulbs supply the light, and a step switch at the base turns each lamp on and off. The collection aims to give urban waste a new use.

Oplamp Table Lamp

Oplamp

Oplamp is composed of a ceramic body and a solid wood base on which an led light source is placed. Thanks to its shape, obtained through the fusion of three cones, the Oplamp's body can be rotated to three alternative positions that creates different types of light: high table lamp and ambient light, low table lamp and ambient light, or two ambient lights. Each configuration of the lamp’s cones allows at least one of the beams of light to interact naturally with the surrounding architectural settings. Oplamp is designed and made entirely by hand in Italy.

Glassy Library Lighting

Glassy Library

Glass Library is a lighting scheme for a library set inside a three-level split glass building. The ambient lighting is kept soft and even, so reading stays comfortable as daylight changes. Concealed LED strips inside suspended steel rods create a flowing halo. Recessed floor uplights emphasize the column and the feature wall, while custom recessed accent lights highlight the artifacts. A photo sensor near the glass curtain walls balances interior light levels during the day, as no dimming system could be used.

Flex Multifunctional Lamp

Flex

A magnetic connection joins the light unit to the stand and allows the light unit to be turned in any direction. The light unit can also be removed and fixed to other surfaces with magnetic accessories, so it can serve as a wall lamp. A touch sensor in the wooden housing sets three levels of brightness. The wood is coated with wax to keep its natural texture.

Benaki Museum Pavilion, Greece
