One Excellence Phase II

One Excellence Phase II is an architectural facade lighting design for a large commercial complex in Shenzhen, China. The building is about 300 meters high and is covered with glass curtain walls. Simple white light was chosen to emphasize the structure of the tower. Customized luminaires were hidden and embedded inside the curtain wall to control the direction of the light. The vertical and interlaced light recreates the pattern of light and shade that sunlight forms during the day. The result gives the building a calm and rhythmic night appearance.

Dorian

In the designer's mind, Dorian lamp had to combine essential lines with a strong identity and fine lighting characteristics. Born to merge decorative and architectural features, it conveys a sense of class and minimalism. Dorian features a lamp and a mirror framed by brass and black mate structures, it comes to life in function of the intense and indirect light it emits. The Dorian Family is composed of floor, ceiling and suspensions lamps, compatible with remote control systems or dimmable with foot control.

Auroom

Auroom is a brass track lighting system designed for residential interiors. The track has compact dimensions and carries a wide range of luminaires, including rotary, directional and linear types with directional or diffused light. The number of fixtures and their placement can be changed easily along the track. A mechanical or magnetic connector ensures secure fixture mounting. The system is low voltage and operates at 42 V. Wireless control is supported through Bluetooth with a mobile application, and brightness can be adjusted from 1 to 10 V.

Luminada

A new design for lighting the modern house, office or buildings. Developed in aluminum and glass with flexible LED strip light font, Luminada provides a high lighting effects in its surroundings. Besides, the design worry about installation and maintenance, in this way, it is provided with a specific designed base plate which can be mounted in standard octagonal J box. For maintenance, after the 20.000 life hours, only is necessary take out the lens and replace the flexible LED strip. Solarpill

Solarpill is a solar powered lighting module designed to mark locations in emergency situations. The design offers two modes. The flashing mode gives a periodic signal for visual communication, and the second mode provides general lighting. Each module can be pinned to a tree or another suitable surface with a grooved steel needle, placed on the ground or hung. An integrated light sensor activates the light only when the surroundings are dark. The modules recharge in sunlight and work in cycles of 24, 48 or 72 hours.

Bird

It's Bird is a floor lamp made from metal and stone that have been used before. The stone parts are joined as terrazzo, a material formed from small fragments of natural stone. The metal once served as a building material, and its layers of worn paint remain visible. LED technology provides the light. The lamp is connected by a cord, and a dimmer on the cord controls the light intensity. The lamp measures 500 mm by 500 to 1200 mm, with a height of 1600 mm. The simple form was inspired by birds and by an autumn river landscape.

Wave

Wave is a decorative lamp made of plastic wavy rings held together by steel rods. Seen from the side, each ring resembles the infinity sign, with an undulating movement that has no beginning and no end. The lamp is produced in different sizes and versions, including floor, table and ceiling models. When lit, the rings reflect the light and create a chiaroscuro effect that gives a sense of depth. When switched off, the lamp appears dense and sculptural. Several units can be combined to form large light structures or chandeliers.

Cadaques is an outdoor luminaire designed for coastal outdoor spaces. The design combines a spacer and a light washer in one piece. The shade is made of Vertisol fabric, an outdoor textile with International Maritime Organization certification, which gives the shade resistance to adverse weather conditions. The body is made of injected aluminium. A protection rating of IP65 guards the luminaire against solid objects and water. An 18 watt LED source provides warm light at 3000 K. The form takes inspiration from beach loungers.

Outer Borough

Outer Borough is a free standing modular floor lamp designed to support a pendant luminaire. The lamp combines a high-strength cast concrete base with a double-leaf steam-bent oak arm. The concrete surface is densified, polished, sealed and burnished for a hard reflective finish. The arm is joined to the base with stainless steel spacers and black-oxide connectors. Assembly is done by two people in a few minutes, and adjustable feet correct uneven floors. The pendant plugs into the top of the base, next to a switch or dimmer. The platform can also hold pendants made by other designers.

Cobra

Cobra is a pendant light designed for the central area of an office building. The form follows the fluid shape of a snake in motion and is built from modules of quarter circles, eighth circles and a straight section in bent aluminum. Downward light is projected along the full length and is activated by a motion sensor placed at one end. The curved polycarbonate diffuser is fixed with a clip system, and all aluminum parts are powder coated. Installed together with an indoor garden, Cobra links artificial lighting and nature.

The story about the 5x5 LED lamp comes together with the 5x5 chair introduced and awarded previous year. The chair's unique material characteristic required tiles’ dimensions of approximately 5x5 cm. Therefore the same dimensions were the starting point for the lamp. In order to avoid the direct form's repetition the 5x5 cm is applied in a form of rhombus, the main modular structure part of the lamp. Several lamps mounted together offer the possibility to create different lighting patterns like zig-zag, diagonal line, the shape of an arrow, or other shapes by using designer's own creativity.
